Become a Community First Responder
What you'll do:
-
Volunteer in Coventry & Warwickshire
-
Respond to emergency 999 calls in your own time in a scheme response vehicle
-
Assess and treat patients with a variety of medical and traumatic conditions as needed
-
Attend events as a clinician to provide medical cover
-
Help to train members of the public in CPR and use of an AED
-
Assist in fundraising and promoting GVMR as a self-funded charity

What you need:
-
Aged 18+
-
Driving licence, held min. 1 year with max. 3 points
-
Be physically fit
-
Be able to attend incidents whilst at home or work
-
Have a caring nature and be willing to help raise the profile of the schemes in local areas
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Successful applicants will need to hold a clear Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS) at an enhanced level (provided by WMAS)

What you might do:

Come up with ideas to raise funds for the charity

Attend events to raise awareness of GVMR

Raise awareness of the charity at local and national levels

Encourage donations from the public

Approach businesses, organisations, and charities to encourage donations or funding

Research and apply for eligible grants and trusts

Liaise with high-value individuals

Build and maintain donor relationships

To spare 4-6 hours of your time per month
